Bromo Volcano (2329m ASL), East Java, Indonesia


Bromo is an active volcano located in the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park of East Java, Indonesia. Situated in the middle of a wide sea of sand, Bromo Volcano becomes one of the most visited tourist attraction in East Java.


One of the famous spot to witness the splendid  landscape of Bromo area is called Penanjakan view point (2.770m ASL). Every morning, hundreds of people will gather on this place to view the most extraordinary sunrise.


2010 – 2011 Bromo eruption
 On Friday, November 26th, 2010, the volcano started to eject volcanic ashes. The eruptions continue and spit columns of ashes more or less 700 meters into the sky. The continuous eruptions caused ash fall mainly in the village area nearby the volcano.

    I've been Bromo twice but never manged to check out Bromo but I've intent to visit that hot spot. Recently I've got married and my wife is excited to visit adventurous places. Thus Bromo seems to me quite good place for adventure. Thanks.
